ABB Ltd said it will not build new factories in China this year but focus on expanding current plants, according to ABB CFO Michel Demare.

"We are planning to invest US$100 million in China this year," said Demare.

In 2006 ABB's sales in China rose 19 percent to US$2.8 billion, making it the largest market for the company.
