Adam Foster, the great-nephew of Helen Foster Snow and the founding chairman of the Helen Foster Snow Foundation, said it was almost "a personal journey" for him. "I want to understand the journey that he went on to understand the Chinese people," he said, adding that it's exciting to see the progress of China.
"When you step outside your front door and you reach out to another culture and other people, you really come to understand yourself better," said Adam Foster.
Helen Foster Snow Foundation is an organization named after the accomplished journalist and writer Helen Foster Snow, who met and married Edgar Snow in China.
