Chongqing had 952,000 NEVs on its roads by the end of 2025. Its supercharging network is crucial to supporting this growth, attracting approximately five billion yuan ($725.73 million) in social investment as part of new infrastructure initiatives.

To achieve these ambitious goals, Chongqing has established a dedicated task force, issued technical guidelines, and revitalized idle spaces for supercharging stations. The municipality has also refined electricity pricing mechanisms and created green channels in the power grid.
