Hebei wetland welcomes peak season for spring migratory birds

This large gathering happened because of restoration work in recent years, according to local authorities. Thanks to methods like balanced reed harvesting, the wetland has developed quality feeding areas for the birds. It also houses safe places for them to stay.
The Nandagang Migratory Bird Habitat in the wetland was included on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list as part of the migratory bird sanctuaries along the coast of the Yellow Sea-Bohai Gulf area of China in 2024.
