Ningxia's wine industry is also gaining global recognition. The eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains are widely considered one of the world's premium wine-growing regions, with roughly half of China's domestically produced wine originating there.

The region aims to integrate wine production with tourism and digital technologies, including artificial intelligence-enabled quality tracing systems, to build internationally recognized brands and expand global market presence.

At the same time, Ningxia plans to accelerate the growth of emerging and future industries, including clean energy, new materials and the digital economy.

Chen said the region is also exploring forward-looking sectors such as bio-manufacturing and embodied artificial intelligence, which he described as showing strong development momentum.

Ningxia has positioned itself as a key hub in China's national computing infrastructure. Designated both a national internet exchange center and a computing power network hub, the region has rapidly expanded data-center construction in recent years.

Standard server racks in Ningxia have reached about 250,000 units, while computing accelerator cards number roughly 190,000. Total computing capacity has surpassed 130,000 petaflops, supported by 22 large and ultra-large data centers.

Under newly approved national plans, Ningxia's computing capacity could eventually reach 600,000 petaflops with about 770,000 racks, Chen said.
