Zhengding Folk Art Performance draws 30 troupes for Lantern Festival

The 17th annual Zhengding Folk Art Performance kicked off on Tuesday in Zhengding of Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, to celebrate Lantern Festival, attracting over 30 folk art troupes from surrounding townships and sub-districts.
The event was part of the "Celebrate the New Year in Ancient Zhengding" series, which showcases the county's intangible cultural heritage (ICH) and festive traditions.
Performers in traditional costumes presented a variety of folk arts, including the national-level ICH Changshan war drums, as well as dragon and lion dances, and the popular yangge dance.
The dynamic performances brought the ancient city's cultural legacy to life, captivating residents and tourists.
