MUSCAT -- The Iranian and US delegations demonstrated "unprecedented openness to new and creative ideas and solutions" in the latest round of indirect nuclear talks on Thursday, according to an Omani Foreign Ministry statement on social media platform X.

Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi held a meeting on Thursday in Geneva with US president's special envoy Steve Witkoff and US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner within the framework of the ongoing indirect Iran-US negotiations, said the statement.

It added that the meeting reviewed the Iranian side's views and proposals, as well as the responses and inquiries of the US negotiating team concerning the key elements of Iran's nuclear program and the guarantees required to achieve the desired agreement from all technical and oversight aspects.

Albusaidi stated that the efforts are continuing intensively and in a constructive manner, amid the negotiators' openness to new and innovative ideas and solutions, while creating conditions conducive to progress and reaching a fair agreement supported by sustainable guarantees, said the statement.

On Wednesday evening, Albusaidi met Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Geneva as part of the ongoing round of talks.
