Power infrastructure to boost Jinhua’s NEV cluster
State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company has recently commissioned supporting power infrastructure for the new energy vehicle full-industry-chain parts industrial park, a move seen as a primary engine for the city's ambition to foster a 100-billion-yuan ($13.9 billion) electric vehicle cluster.
Located in Jinhua's Jindong District, the industrial park is designed with an annual capacity of 360,000 units. Once operational, the facility will bolster the core production capabilities of the Jinhua base of Leapmotor, one of China's fast-rising NEV makers, supporting the automaker's strategic national manufacturing blueprint.
This project is part of a broader effort by State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Co to reinforce the regional energy infrastructure. In recent years, the company has ramped up the construction of a high-capacity grid centered on a 500-kV system with a 220 kV dual-ring network as its backbone, providing reliable power support for the region's high-quality economic and social development.
Moving forward, the company pledged to uphold its commitment to energy security while further streamlining the power-related business environment. These efforts are aimed at transforming Jinhua into an international hub, and accelerating the development of a modern industrial system, the power provider said.
