With the arrival of the 2026 Year of the Horse Spring Festival, a gala performance and 2025 Yizhuang Role Models Award Ceremony will be held at 7pm on Feb 9 at Beijing Polytechnic University, Beijing Yizhuang Economic- Technological Development Area.
Themed "Yizhuang Towards the Future," the gala deeply integrates the dynamic spirit of the Year of the Horse with Yizhuang's identity as the center of technological innovation. The evening is designed to create an annual cultural audio-visual feast where humanity and technology share the stage, and forward-looking ambition defines the future.

Directed by Qin Xinmin who previously directed the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, the event unfolds in five parts: Prelude, First Act, Second Act, Third Act, and Finale, featuring 12 programs spanning genres such as song and dance, instrumental music, opera, language performances, and magic.
Over 90 minutes, renowned artists from across the country will present a vibrant lineup of programs including songs, dances, cross-talk, Peking Opera, and original stage plays, appealing to audiences of all generations.
Technology is at the heart of the production, creating an audio-visual feast that defies imagination. Rather than being a mere embellishment, it forms the core narrative thread. The opening number, "Spring Comes with the Horse," is entirely AI-generated in its lyrics, music composition, and video production. Robots and robotic dogs share the stage with human performers, showcasing the unique technological flavor of Yizhuang's New Year celebration.
The instrumental piece "Horse Racing/Code Racing" blends Eastern and Western instruments like the morin khuur and violin, weaving together images of traditional galloping and digital acceleration. The opera "Singing Chinese Opera Together" features both Chinese and foreign performers on stage, reflecting a spirit of cultural openness. The dance "Phoenix Dance in Yizhuang" uses the phoenix as a symbol to praise Yizhuang's sincerity and success in attracting and nurturing talent.
Community spirit also takes center stage. The Yizhuang Community Residents Choir passionately performs "Spring Breeze Ten Thousand Miles," conveying neighborhood warmth and solidarity with heartfelt harmonies. In "Yizhuang My Love", local role models join professional singers to express their deep affection for this land.
The evening also shines a spotlight on real-life achievements. The "2025 Yizhuang Role Models" award ceremony will recognize exemplary individuals and teams in fields such as volunteer service, innovation, and acts of bravery. Presented in four segments, the awards aim to inspire progress by celebrating those who lead by example.
