Czech Maderova wins women's parallel giant slalom at Milan-Cortina

LIVIGNO -- Czech snowboarder Zuzana Maderova won gold in the women's parallel giant slalom at Milan-Cortina 2026 on Sunday.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a comfortable win over Sabine Payer of Austria, cruising to victory by 0.83 seconds. Italy's Lucia Dalmasso took bronze after winning the small final over teammate Elisa Caffont by 0.11 seconds.
Defending champion Ester Ledecka of the Czech Republic failed to become the first snowboarder to win gold medals at three straight Olympics after crashing out in the quarterfinals.
