ADB: China's market offers ample opportunities for foreign companies

Asif S. Cheema, the Asian Development Bank's country director for China, said the country's deepening reforms have sent a highly positive signal, helping to bolster domestic consumption and strengthen the social safety net. He noted that China's development of green industries, the service sector and high-tech manufacturing will create ample opportunities for foreign companies, as these areas require global technology and investment. Foreign companies can play an important role and remain committed to the Chinese market over the long term, Cheema said in a recent interview with China Daily.
