Various activities engage locals in Bayannur arts
Lectures focusing on the long history of seal engraving and the evolution of Song Dynasty (960-1279) scholar Su Shi toward freestyle brushwork will introduce people in Bayannur, in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, to the depth of Chinese cultural tradition. This lecture series is among a variety of exhibitions, creative shows, musical performances, and tourism activities at the ongoing inaugural Art Bayannur, which runs until Jan 2.
Artworks and creative products are on show at three venues in the city, engaging locals with the merchandise development that explores innovative forms to enliven art traditions.
In addition, folk art performances and activities are held to introduce tourists to the unique features of Bayannur's ethnic cultures.
