Enhanced effort to lift coal transport

Chinese railway operators are stepping up efforts to lift coal transport in order to meet the need for power and winter heating. The Donggang Station, located in Hebei province and administered by the Datong-Qinhuangdao Train Operation Section, serves as a key node on the Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway which transports 350 million metric tons of coal each year. By making innovations in seamless connection for coal unloading and ore loading, the station has loaded 113,518 vehicles carrying 7.588 million tons of coal by the end of November, contributing significantly to freight transport.

Yuan strengthens against greenback

The central parity rate of the yuan strengthened 67 pips to 7.0686 against the US dollar on Thursday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.
