In Pingtang county, Guizhou province, melting glaciers once carved countless deep, circular pits as rushing water and sand scoured the bedrock.

Scattered along mountain streams, these potholes, also known as giant's kettles, are a monument to the region's ancient glacial activity. Over time, the pits filled with water, forming clusters of shimmering pools.

When sunlight catches the flowing water, the basins sparkle, drawing hikers and campers to the area.
