Workers at the Zhangmeng salt field in Renhe town, Rongcheng, Shandong province, have been busy harvesting sea salt in recent days, taking advantage of the sunny weather.
Sea salt production relies on solar evaporation to naturally crystallize the brine into raw salt through processes including sun exposure, brine adjustment and crystallization.
This method offers a sustainable approach to salt production, harnessing natural elements without the need for industrial energy consumption.
