Couples celebrate traditional Chinese group wedding in Shandong

Traditional Chinese matrimonial culture was on display at a group wedding ceremony featuring 28 couples in magnificent Hanfu costumes in Laoling, a county-level city of Dezhou, Shandong province, on Saturday.
The ceremony, organized by Dezhou federation of trade unions and Dezhou municipal committee of the Communist Youth League of China, recreated ancient Chinese wedding rituals, presenting a scene of Chinese-style romance.
The newlyweds said that the collective ceremony, emphasizing cultural heritage over extravagance, made their special day more meaningful.
