You Liujin, a nature education teacher, leads groups of city children on a journey through the wilds of Daxi village in the mountainous region of Yongtai county, known as Fuzhou's "backyard garden" in Fujian province. There, the kids wander among the trees, gathering the season's fallen treasures — persimmon stems, tree bark and dried leaves — to craft unique seed creations.
