Video series commemorates Soong Ching Ling's peace diplomacy legacy
An additional 10 items were documented at her Beijing residence and the former residences of her international friends, marking the first time these historical items have been systematically presented outside their traditional museum settings.
The series' filming spanned seven historical locations, including the Sun Yat-sen residence in Shanghai and the former homes of her international friends Rewi Alley and Shafick George Hatem, reconstructing the environments where Soong lived, worked, and conducted her diplomatic activities.
The series employs 4K ultra-high-definition technology. Specialized equipment captures the intricate details of historical artifacts and recreates period settings with high clarity.
The production integrates AI-generated content to animate historical photographs, while an innovative visual technique overlays historical images with contemporary footage, creating a dialogue between past and present.
Following its television premiere on Tuesday at 10 pm on Dragon TV, the series will air on Shanghai Media Group's social media platforms from Aug 27 to 31.
