Over 500 rescuers are battling extreme conditions across North China's Hebei province after days of torrential rains triggered flooding and landslides, with coordinated operations working to reach isolated villages in the hardest-hit areas.

In Xinglong county's Liudaohe township in Chengde, where seven villages were partly cut off, a multi-tier emergency command has deployed 524 rescuers from national and provincial teams, according to the town's rescue and disaster relief command center.

As of Wednesday morning, contact has been restored in all seven villages, it said.

About 15,000 food parcels, including water, bread, and instant noodles, have been delivered to affected areas in the town, while 69 medical staff and 30 disinfection teams are conducting health interventions and post-flood sanitation.
