In recent weeks, some Chinese students returning to the United States have been unable to re-enter the country due to invalid I-20 forms. US officials and a note from the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles urged students to stay mindful of entry requirements. The issue follows the heightened scrutiny that Chinese students faced during the Trump administration, with more than 1,000 Chinese citizens having their visas revoked in 2020 alone.
