"We spent about a month refining the outline, drawing in CAD, and marking key points," said Wang Qian, the overall director of the event and a teacher in the university's mechanical and electrical engineering school. "The design must be both scientifically reasonable and aesthetically and artistically pleasing."
Despite the extreme cold, students were enthusiastic and proud of their completed works, which took around two hours to create.
"I hope to contribute to the maritime power of our country, shining with youthful brilliance," said Dai Junzhe, a freshman studying engineering.
