Champions of village basketball associations across China are expected to compete in Yinglin town of Jinjiang city, Fujian province, in November.

The competition aims to offer a platform for grassroots basketball enthusiasts to show their skills and promote rural revitalization, organizers said.

Besides contests, various activities will also be held such as art exhibitions, folk singing and dancing performances, farmers' fun sports meeting, ethnic fashion show, and food fair.

Public welfare events such as sports equipment donations, interactions between renowned basketball players and rural youth will also be organized.

The event, which runs from Nov 17 to 24, is guided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and General Administration of Sports of China.
