The Sky, Still That Sky produced by the Henan Provincial Drama Arts Center will stage the work in late August, followed by a national tour.

Premiered at the Henan Children's Theater on June 23, the play depicts stories happening at the same time in Zhengzhou, Henan province, Wuhan, Hubei province, and Beijing. The characters, from different backgrounds, ages, and genders, are all caught in the same event. Zheng Shenyu, a migrant worker from Zhengzhou, goes to Beijing to collect a debt from his boss, Chen Jun, but gets trapped in his house due to the pandemic. They transform from adversaries into friends. Doctor couple Lin Yinan and Peng Jin volunteer as frontline workers while hiding this from each other, ultimately reconciling in the face of danger. Wuhan small shop owners Li Wen and Ai Fangfei planned to return to their hometown for the Spring Festival but chose to stay and help. Despite different challenges, they all support each other and fight against the pandemic.
