Chinese, French militaries discuss defense ties, global issues

The Chinese and French militaries held defense strategic consultations in China on Thursday, China's Ministry of National Defense said Thursday evening.
The two sides discussed the development of bilateral defense relations and conducted in-depth exchanges on international and regional security issues of common concern, enhancing mutual understanding and trust, the ministry said in a statement.
