In the upcoming film The Last Frenzy, the central character Jia Youwei, played by comedic actor Jia Bing, grapples with life-altering decisions when confronted with an incurable illness and a mere 10 days left to live. Choosing to spend his million yuan property proceeds on unforgettable experiences with friends, Jia embarks on a poignant journey of camaraderie and self-discovery.

As the narrative unfolds, Jia's final days become a testament to celebrating the bonds of friendship, culminating in unexpected twists, including a chance encounter with a woman he once admired from afar.

Anticipation for the film, slated for release in domestic theaters on May 1, has surged, with approximately 10 million yuan ($1.38 million) in online ticket sales, positioning it as the country's second-highest presold film on the inaugural day of the May Day holiday.

At a recent promotional event, Wuerna, the ethnic Mongolian director behind the movie, shared her aspirations for The Last Frenzy. Filled with a blend of hilarity and heartfelt moments, the film aims to gently remind audiences of the value of friendship within a lighthearted narrative framework.
