Artist Chai Mi's A's Fables won the Charles Jin Collection Award. It features photographs of various dimensions, such as photos of animals taken at zoos around the world, altered pages of Fables of Aesop, screenshots of internet articles about animals, and ancient drawings, all placed together on a blackboard. Judge Souben remarked that Chai's creation evoked the installations by German art historian Aby Warburg and raised the question of who, human beings or animals, have the right to tell stories.
