Graduate student Fan Rongfeng from the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences embarked on a challenging mission earlier this year: joining the seventh China-Chile joint Antarctic expedition team. Fan's quest? To shed light on the dramatic effects of global warming on the polar climate.
