The MySE292 offshore ultra large wind turbine blade independently developed by Mingyang Group successfully rolled off its production line in Mingyang new energy high-end equipment industrial base, in Dongfang, Hainan province on Feb 27, 2024.
This blade is applicable for open sea navigation areas such as Guangdong, Hainan, Zhejiang provinces and Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The blade is 143 meters long and the impeller diameter is 292 meters, marking it as the largest wind turbine blade with the biggest impeller diameter ever made in the world.
A single unit equipped with the blade can generate 80 million kilowatts-hours of electricity each year, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 66,000 tons.
