A train conductor, Hu Kun, taking swift action after a passenger falls critically ill has received wide praise from netizens.

On Jan 13, on the train D275 from Chengdu South Station, Sichuan province, to Xishuangbanna, Yunnan province, Hu Kun found a passenger having difficulty breathing, experiencing convulsions, and profusely sweating. He promptly called for medical assistance while evacuating nearby passengers to ensure good air circulation.

The broadcast drew the attention of several medical workers on board, who provided assistance to the passenger.

As the passenger was traveling alone, Hu decided to make a temporary stop at the nearest station and requested an ambulance.

At 11:11 am, the train arrived at Meishan railway station. With the ambulance already waiting, the passenger was picked up by crew members and paramedics, and sent to Meishan People's Hospital. "Don't be nervous. Take it easy!" Hu said to the passenger.

After about two-minute stop, the train resumed its operation at 11:13 am.

Later the passenger recovered. The passenger left a comment under a video of the conductor's act posted by China Railway Chengdu Group Co Ltd on its Douyin account: "Thank you all for helping me. I want to express my gratitude to the train conductor, crew members and all kind-hearted people on board."
