More than 800 firefighters from Yunnan's fire and rescue corps have joined efforts to rescue 47 people who were buried in a landslide in Zhenxiong county in Yunnan province.

The natural disaster occurred shortly before 6 am on Monday in Liangshui village.

Twenty-eight firefighters from Zhenxiong quickly arrived at the scene after the landslide, and the Yunnan fire and rescue corps mobilized another 812 firefighters from other parts of the province to participate in search and rescue efforts, according to a media release from the corps.
