The National Committee on US-China Relations (NCUSCR) held its 2023 annual Gala Dinner in New York on Tuesday. Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden sent congratulatory letters.

The dinner presented an award to former US secretary of state Henry Kissinger for his outstanding contributions to the development of US-China relations. Nearly 400 people attended the gala, including NBA basketball Hall of Famers Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady, NCUSCR President Stephen Orlins, and former US treasury secretary Timothy Geithner.
