Global healthcare company Abbott provided a preview of the latest healthcare technologies that it will showcase at the upcoming sixth China International Import Expo during its Tech Day 2023, which was held at its Customer Experience Center in Shanghai on Wednesday.

The company's exhibits this year will include several intelligent and personalized products that address people's growing concerns about diabetes care and cardiovascular healthcare.

During the event, Eliud Kipchoge, a two-time Olympic marathon champion, shared his experience of using Abbott's Libre Sense Glucose Sport Biosensor, the world's first glucose sport biosensor designed for athletes.

Another key exhibit will be Aveir DR, the world's first dual chamber leadless pacing system that treats people with abnormal or slow heart rhythms. The product, which received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration in July, will be making its Asia debut at the expo.

The company said it will also bring an array of human-powered technologies to the CIIE, which will take place in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.

Abbott, which is the Global Health Sciences and Nutrition Partner of Real Madrid Football Club and the Global Partner of the Real Madrid Foundation, announced that it will team up with the football team from Spain to launch an interactive space called "Let's Win Together" at its CIIE booth to advocate the importance of nutrition.
