GBA's third school for Hong Kong and Macao students holds opening ceremony

The opening ceremony for The Affiliated School of JNU for Hong Kong and Macao Students is held in Foshan, Guangdong province, on Sept 10, 2023. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

Specially designed for students from Hong Kong and Macao, it is the third such school in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, under cooperation between educational authorities from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and Guangzhou-based Jinan University.

The other two schools are based in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong, and Dongguan, a major manufacturing and trade city in the GBA.

The cooperation followed an overall development plan for the GBA, which was unveiled in 2019, highlighting educational exchanges and cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
