The sixth World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), which will take place in Shanghai from July 6 to July 8, is expected to welcome a record number of exhibitors, according to official sources.

Themed "Intelligent Connectivity Generating Future", this year's WAIC will feature more than 400 exhibitors showcasing their products in a 50,000-square-meter exhibition area.

During a news conference about the event in Shanghai on Thursday, Wu Jincheng, director of the Shanghai Commission of Economy and Informatization, said that more than 30 products will make their debut at the conference.

The three-day conference, which consists of an opening ceremony, a closing ceremony, two plenaries, 10 themed forums and several eco-forums, will be attended by more than 1,400 distinguished guests, Wu added.

Considered the most high-profile artificial intelligence event in Shanghai, the WAIC attracted over 600,000 offline visitors and witnessed the signing of 200 major industrial projects with a combined investment of 70 billion yuan over the past five editions.
