The Sanlitun show also kicked off the World Ethnic Madame Benefit Fashion Tour. A brainchild of the Mongolian designer, the project is aimed at promoting ethnic unity by showcasing ethnic culture, ethnic clothing and intangible cultural heritages worn by models from various ethnicities on the runway.

Benefit fashion shows will be staged this year in Athens, capital of Greece; Rotterdam of the Netherlands; Alashan league, Inner Mongolia autonomous region; and Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, according to the organizers.

The designer also announced that this April will see the opening of his studio – Hu Family Courtyard – in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei province. Featuring fashion courses, yoga courses, and fashionable bistros and stores, the studio will promote a fusion of fashion and life and empower Chinese women who love fashion and want to chase their dreams.
