The ongoing exhibition In the Line of Flight, for Possible Worlds at Deji Art Museum in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, has attracted lots of visitors by offering them a cool experience by mixing art and technology.

The show presents multiple works by established artists from home and abroad, covering installations, videos, power machinery, and multimedia works. Most of the works apply technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, biotechnology, and mechanical techniques to explore creative possibilities of future world.

Highlights include Leonardo's Submarine created by German moving image artist Hito Steyerl. It was first presented at the Venice Biennale in 2019 and unfolds an underwater dreamland which offers an imaginative future for humans

Many of the pieces on display try to create a different world for people to think about a future dominated by high-tech, such as Easternsports co-created by Alex Da Corte and Jayson Musson and Primal Tourism by Jacob Kudsk Steensen, a VR art project where tourism, science fiction, technology, and speculations on future climates merge with escapism.

The show held by Deji Art Museum in Nanjing will run until Sunday. The art museum located at the city center will present more shows mixing technology and art, aiming to introduce cool art to the public in a digital age.
