China Daily deputy editor-in-chief recalls work experiences telling HK stories
The Hong Kong story has been part of the China story since it turned over a new page after 1997, said China Daily Deputy Editor-in-chief Wang Hao on Wednesday night during a livestream show celebrating the 25th anniversary of the city's return to the motherland.
Wang recalled he was on the night shift during the big day 25 years ago. He shared how China Daily's front page for covering the big event was designed and how the main headline "HOME AT LAST" was decided.
Wang reviewed Hong Kong's economic position over the past 25 years and believed it could become more promising while being integrated into the Greater Bay area development.
