The Belt and Road Initiative provides a new path for the prosperity and development of the world, and also builds a new platform for companies to realize win-win cooperation, said Zhan Chunxin, chairman of Chinese machinery manufacturer Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co Ltd.

"We have built a large number of research and development centers, manufacturing bases and trading platforms in the economies participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, with our products sold in 87 countries and regions across the globe," said Zhan, who is a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Zhan said China's equipment manufacturing enterprises should give full play to their advantages, work together with the countries and regions involved in the initiative, as well as speed up the localization push, in a bid to build a community with a shared future for humankind.
