Bringing a taste of Europe to the Chinese capital, Mode-L Lounge opened in Beijing's Chaoyang district on Friday.

Located next to Side Park, the lounge has a 450-square-meter bar, a private dining area and a 200-square-meter outdoor terrace.

All food for the bar and lounge is managed by Wu Peng, who used to work at the Michelin-starred Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in United Kingdom.

"We have a high standard for both our bar and private dining," Wu said.

The chef also requires all sauces to be handmade, and all bread baked by their own personnel.

20 classic cocktails are also featured at the bar.
