With battery range a major factor when customers decide to buy an electric vehicle, we've listed those with the longest ranges currently available in the Chinese market.

The figures are based on NEDC, a range test standard adopted by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Two Tesla models are listed and the other six are produced by Chinese carmakers.

Statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers show that sales of new energy vehicles surged 104.5 percent year-on-year to 160,000 in October, making a total of 901,000 sales in the first 10 months of the year. The association forecasts sales of new energy vehicles will exceed 1 million in 2020.
