BEIJING -- China's excavator producers reported strong sales performance in October, sustaining the growth momentum of previous months, industry data showed.

China's 25 leading excavator makers sold 27,331 excavators last month, surging 60.5 percent year on year, according to the China Construction Machinery Association.

In breakdown, 23,892 excavators were sold in the domestic market, up 60.7 percent from a year ago while the equipment's exports jumped 59.4 percent year on year to 3,439 during the same period.

During the first 10 months of 2020, sales of the 25 excavator producers totaled 263,839, with a year-on-year increase of 34.5 percent.
