Landscapes on show to celebrate new art center

Art News of China celebrates the opening of its art center on Aug 28 with a survey exhibition, titled Road to Peak, themed around the tradition of Chinese ink painting.
The first stage of the exhibition, which runs through Sept 6, investigates the evolution of the genre of mountain-and-water paintings. On display are dozens of works by 14 painters, both preeminent figures and upcoming artists.
The exhibition will continue with later shows themed around the genres of portraiture and flower-and-bird paintings.
