New York remains the globe's most attractive financial center, followed by London and Tokyo, according to the 27th edition of the Global Financial Centers Index published by the British think tank Z/Yen Group and China Development Institute.
Shanghai, which moved up one place and took fourth spot for the first time this year, has been further narrowing the gap between the other three world financial centers, according to the index.
Beijing took seventh place this year, unchanged from last year's position.
