As people work to contain the novel coronavirus, many in China are sticking to their posts, fulfilling their duties as usual and playing their part in the fight against the contagion.

Among them is Liu Jinke, who is in his 20s and is an employee of a bicycle-sharing company in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province, who is in charge of keeping the bikes in good shape.

Liu has been on duty since Spring Festival, which fell on Jan 25 this year. Every morning, he holds a meeting with his coworkers that starts with routine anti-epidemic checks, including measuring body temperatures, donning masks and distributing disinfectants to sterilize the bikes.

Despite being employees of Ant Financial-backed bicycle rental platform Hello Global, Liu and his team sterilize shared bikes, including those of other companies.

They spray disinfectant on bicycles, especially handlebars and saddles, and this sterilization work is carried out three times a day.
