An online consultation platform, through which experienced medical experts can give guidance to hospitals across Fujian province on treating patients with the novel coronavirus, has gotten results, as patients' situations are getting better.

More than 130 patients infected with the virus have been treated under the guidance of the experts since the platform was established about a week ago and some are getting better, reported fjsen.com, a local news website.

Through the remote consultation platform, hospitals in all cities can receive expert advice, thus patients can enjoy the same level of medical care as in the experts' home cities, Xie Baosong, head of the experts team and head of the Respiratory and Critical Medicine Department at Fujian Provincial Hospital, was quoted as saying in the report. 

According to Xie, the experts are the province's top-level clinical doctors for treating the disease. "Patients with severe conditions can get more comprehensive and precise treatment."

Xie said a patient with serious condition in the province's Sanming city has clearly improved after treatment under a plan made by 15 experts who conducted an online video consultation with doctors in Sanming.
