Auckland, Palmerston North celebrate Chinese New Year

As part of the Happy Chinese New Year celebrations co-hosted by the China Cultural Center in Wellington and the Chongqing Culture and Tourism Development Committee, the shows, performed by more than 20 artists, attracted nearly 2,000 audience members.
Folk songs and dances, acrobatics, magic and Sichuan Opera face-changing were featured in the shows to give local audiences a taste of Chinese arts and culture.
