A photo taken on Dec 29, 2019, shows the Nujiang River Rail Bridge, with a total length of 1.02 kilometers. The bridge is located at the border of Shidian county and Longling county in Baoshan. [Photo by Wang Zhongxia, Wang Yixiang and Yao Wei/chinadaily.com.cn]
The bridge surface will be 25 meters wide and accommodate four rail tracks. The bridge is built with 46,000 tons of steel, about 6.5 times that used for the Eiffel Tower, and the main truss arch weighs 27,000 tons, with 922 steel bars.
