CBA reveals women's national team training camp squad
BEIJING - The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) has selected 16 players to attend a training camp for the women's national team ahead of Olympic qualifying tournaments early next year.
China will take on Spain, Britain and South Korea in the tournament, with the top three finishers earning qualification to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Coach Xu Limin, who took charge of the team in 2017, has placed his faith in experience and cohesion, as 15 of the squad have featured in at least one of the two previous Olympic qualifying tournaments - namely the Asia Cup and the Asia-Oceania pre-qualifying tournament.
The 16 players are Shao Ting, Gao Song, Wu Tongtong, Guo Zixuan, Li Yuan, Zhang Ru, Li Yueru, Huang Sijing, Yang Liwei, Han Xu, Wang Siyu, Chen Mingling, Sun Mengran, Li Meng, Pan Zhenqi and Wang Xuemeng.
