RIO DE JANEIRO - Argentinian manager Eduardo Coudet has been named head coach of Internacional de Porto Alegre, the Brazilian first division club said on Monday.
The 45-year-old agreed to a two-year contract, replacing Ze Ricardo, who was sacked this month after the club finished seventh in this year's Serie A championship.
"He [Coudet] will arrive in Porto Alegre on Wednesday to sign a contract with the club," read a statement on Internacional's official website.
A former midfielder for River Plate, San Lorenzo and Rosario Central, Coudet has been out of work since being sacked by Racing Club in November.
He led Racing to the Argentinian Superliga title in 2018-19, their first top flight triumph since 2014.
