WASHINGTON - MLS team DC United will acquire American goalkeeper Bill Hamid permanently from Danish club FC Midtjylland this offseason, local media reported on Tuesday.
Hamid, 29, spent the last season at Washington on loan from Midtjylland, after his signing there in 2018 failed to result in regular playing time.
Hamid began his career with DC United and played for the Washington team between 2009-2017.
MLS Goalkeeper of the Year in 2014, Hamid has been in the mix of the US national team over the years, although he has not become a regular call-up.
